August Member of the Month

Jeff came to us looking to lose body fat and gain flexibility. With his hard work and consistency he's really turned a corner and is headed in the right direction. Range has improved drastically, his cardiovascular strength is steadily increasing, and he's stronger than he's ever been (evident by this morning's PR back squat @275x2, deeper than he's ever squat). Keep up the good work Spice!

When did you join CrossFit Myo?

Why CrossFit?

I was tired of the regular gym and was in need of a change. I saw the 2011 CrossFit games on ESPN and was intrigued. The idea of functional movement that actually applies to real life was way too logical for me to ignore.

Also, I used to be active in sports and really missed the camaraderie. When you are around good people, persistence becomes second nature. Myo is filled to the brim with hard working, positive people and being around them is one of the best addictions!

Favorite and Least Favorite Exercise?

Favorite - Back Squats

Least Favorite - Burpees

Favorite Healthy Meal?

Grilled Chicken with shrimp skewers and asparagus

Profession and hobbies?

Profession - Marketing Operations Analyst

Hobbies - Fantasy baseball and football, going to movies, spending time with friends and family

Short Term & Long Term CrossFit Goals?

Short Term - Be under 200 lbs by New Years, complete a muscle up

Long Term - Increase flexibility in my hips, shoulders, and forearms, run a sub 6 minute mile

Fun Fact about yourself?

I’ve been to 25 different baseball parks and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
